Details about my new pay-what-you-can-afford pricing at Smashwords.

Also, I've learned that, as of October, Lulu will no longer sell digital files (other than ePub and PDF). This means that all of my Lulu e-books, audio books, and booktrailers will no longer be available - most notably Love in Dark Settings Omnibus.

Fortunately, I'd already planned to publish all of my fiction as multiformat e-books this summer. However, if you'd like to buy a zipped HTML edition of all the fiction and nonfiction at my website (which is what Love in Dark Setting Omnibus is), now's the time to do so.

The following e-books, both from the Main Bookshelf, have appeared in new e-book editions.

New Kindle e-book edition:

Blood Vow (The Three Lands). He has taken a blood vow to the Jackal God to bring freedom to his land by killing Koretia's greatest enemy. But what will he do when the enemy becomes his friend?

New ePub e-book edition (free):

I'm in the process of converting my entire backlist into ePub e-books. Some of the e-books will have bonus material about the creation of the stories.

If you're not familiar with the format, ePub is the MP3 of the e-book world: a common e-book format that can be read by many e-readers and mobile devices. Since an ePub e-book is simply a bunch of HTML files collected together in a special way with a few other files, you can easily read ePub e-books in your Web browser, as well as in e-readers, mobile devices, etc. More information is available in Easy Ways to Read ePub E-books.

My first ePub e-book is now online: "Night Shadow." If you plan to read my e-books at any time in the future, I'd appreciate it if you'd download this free e-book. If you encounter any problems with the formatting or layout, please let me know so that I can correct them now, before I publish more e-books.

The e-book can be downloaded for free in electronic braille (Grade 2 - contracted - North American English Braille) or in DAISY format. You do not need to be a member of Bookshare.org to download the e-book.

I'm sorry about the price for the customer price being a bit higher than I'd like. It's due to the vagaries of Amazon's royalty structure, as explained here, in an article I heartily recommend to other Kindle authors who submit their books via DTP.

The following stories in the Life Prison series, already available online, are now also available as Kindle e-books:

Life Prison. In the unmerciful world of Mercy Prison, there is no rule but unending pain. For Merrick, the arrival of his new guard provides hope that he may break beyond the boundaries of his life prison. But appearances can be deceptive, and Merrick does not yet recognize the danger this guard poses to his future.

Coded Messages. One of them rapes prisoners. The other wants to help prisoners. So why are they talking to each other?

Parental supervision is strongly suggested for these stories.

If you've previously read the novella and have thoughts (good or bad) about it, I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd post a review at Amazon. After all, if you hate the story, you'll want to keep all those poor customers from buying it, right? :)
